‘Silent mode’ not working on Android based HTC Desire C

Even if I set my Android based HTC Desire C to ‘silent mode’, ringtones will be played loudly when any call arrives on it. This is causing problems while I am at places where phone needs to be strictly in silent mode. What should be done to fix this problem?

If you want to Activate the Silent Mode in your mobile then you should follow the steps :
Go to the Personalize settings of the profiles. You can choose the settings from that menu.
Select the Silent mode in the Ringing tone option or else off the Ringing volume then to Activate Silent Mode and turn ON the Vibrating Mode.
You will not get any loud ring tones after setting these changes in your mobile.

This may be because of some software problem. To fix this issue you should Factory reset your phone. This will definitely solve the problem. There is no need to worry. To do Factory Reset you should first go to menu from your phone's home screen. There will see Settings as an option denoted. Now tap to open.Drag to below there will see Privacy.Tap on that.Once it open below will see personal Data.here you will find Factory Data Reset. Now next step is to Tap on that & phone will be asking for your permission like On Or Cancel.Tap on Ok your phone will be reset.Once done then turn off your phone & again restart.Problem will be solved.
