Accessing Google Calendar app other than Gmail in android?

I recently went on to delete the Calendar app since I found it to be having many issues. I uninstalled the app and now I wanted to reinstall it. But the app is not available for download from anywhere other than Gmail. Is there any other way around?

Depending on the type of mobile device you have, you may be able to access Google Calendar up to three different ways:

    - Browser
    - App (Android devices only)
    - Sync

Learn more about the options below to help you find the method that suits you and your mobile device best.

    Browser
    - Google Calendar for mobile browsers
Just like you would on a computer, simply go to http://www.google.com/calendar in your mobile device's web browser to access Google Calendar. There's no setup required. The mobile browser interface of Google Calendar is always in sync with the main Google Calendar server. Most mobile devices with Internet access and that meet the minimum requirements should be able to access Google Calendar in the browser.

    App
    - Calendar application for Android
Most Android devices come with a preinstalled Calendar application, which offers an experience similar to accessing Google Calendar in the browser but is faster and adds support for on-device alerts. Keep in mind the Calendar application is available as a native app for Android devices only.

    Sync
    - Google Sync or CalDAV
If you prefer to use your mobile device's native calendar application, you can integrate Google Calendar with your device using Google Sync. You'll get on-device alerts and over-the-air synchronization of Google Calendar to the built-in calendar on your device. Right now, Google Sync is Beta software and support is limited across these devices. Google Sync uses the Microsoft® Exchange ActiveSync® protocol on some devices.
You can also sync via CalDAV on iPhone devices (includes iPod touch).
