Probably that might be a problem with the camera application try clearing the Data of the application by navigating to setting->applications->manage applications and select the all tab , navigate to the camera application select it and clear cache and data. If that is not helping then format your phone and see that the camera application is working. If all the above solutions doesn't work then take it to a customer service center.

If your camera is Themed one, then uninstall the theme
The theme is making it to force close
And check whether ur phone is rooted or not??
And clear its cache from settings
For your issue, there could be three reasons. One is hardware problem, next comes software problem, and any virus attack that disturbing your camera. First, scan all the memory locations in your device with a perfect anti-virus. Even though the problem continues, visit any reliable service centre and share your problem there and then they will fix it. Because, other than virus attack, it may be hardware or software problem which we cannot fix ourself.
