Android powered HTC Evo 3D can’t scan for wireless networks while enabling Wi-Fi

I have turned on Wi-Fi on my Android based HTC Evo 3D after going into settings. But, the device keeps showing the error message “Unable to scan for networks” afterwards. I tried a hard reset and it can’t make any difference in the situation. What else should I do to fix up this issue?

The first step required to resolve this issue is to hit the ‘Menu’ button on your phone. A set of options will then pop up on the screen. Choose ‘Settings’ option from that set by tapping on it. This will redirect you to settings menu having lot of options. Scroll through that menu and tap the ‘Mobile networks’ option. Locate ‘Enable always-on mobile data’ label from the mobile network settings. Tap over the checkbox next to that label until the tick mark gets disappeared from it.
