If it is happening then you should deactivate back ground data.To do that you should first visit settings from your home screen. Now tap settings to open.
Once open then drag to below. There will see Accounts & Sync.Tap to open, once open above will find Background Data.Tap to deactivate it.Once you done Back ground data will be OFF.& hence will increase your memory.

it is advisable to close the background apps
you can close it using the inbuilt task manager
    go to main home screen
press the home key until a menu pop ups
    tap on task manager
    close the desired app.

you can also download task manager apps from google play
    here is a list

    -advanced task manager
    -android task manager
    -advanced task killer

You better make use of any third party apps to close or terminate the applications that are running background. You can have those third party apps on android market. Or else you can try the following navigation steps.
    1. First of all, turn on your android device and view the menu panel.
    2. Next, click on the icon named "settings".
    3. Now, you will be provided with a list of options. Select "applications" there and click on it.
    4. Now, find the option called "manage applications" and just click on it.
That will shows you all the currently running applications. Select all the applications that you want to terminate and tap on "force stop". Then it will terminates all the currently running applications you selected.
I hope it works. Thank you

    hey

This problem which you are going through occurs with many users as sometimes your phone apps are set to update them automatically ....
As you can take the example of your computer ... If you have automatic updates on then windows will look out over internet time to time to check whether any windows update is available ..
Also if there are any software updates available which are installed in your pc then it asks for them to installl..
Same is the case with your phone apps if automatic updates are on then when you turn on data packet it gets connected to the internet and checks for any updates available and then download it ..
Sometimes it also happens that your phone has got virus in it hence , it automatically download apps or updates though you have not installed or opted to install or update them ..
Reset you phone and then go for a software update and also turn off the automatic update option of the apps from the settings menu .. I am sure this will work and remove your problem of automatic downloading and updating of apps..

    hope i helped
    thanks

    Hello Guest,
You can terminate the background apps and modify their data settings as well. Simply long press the home key button in your LGE phone, a screen will open up showing the background apps. You can simply tap on them one by one and exit the apps manually. If this does not seem to work, try to delete the useless apps. Thank You. Hope this helps.

Hello friend, I hope that all the backround apps are not useful to you.So first go to task manager and end all unnecessary tasks. Then end all tasks expects the tasks you are using. Now most of the ram is cleared and your phone works very fast.
