Battery lose syndrome on Android Acer A500

The Android Acer A500 tablet that I bought recently shows a high drainage of battery. I found that my display brightness was set up to 68%. Is the battery loss due to the display or is the device faulty?

The display brightness does absorb the battery power to certain extend especially when using auto brightness. While using this function, the device adjusts the brightness on its own according to the external light available. This would consume a little more power than the normal case. You could set your display brightness to about 25% and have a check whether this improves things. Another factor that affects the battery life is leaving your 3G on while not in use. It needs tremendous power for working. Also the GPS when left on in the background can have your battery depleted in a short time. Neither the device nor the battery could have caused this as it is relatively new.

    No Friend,
The matter is not exactly so.

The display brightness cannot absorb the battery life to such a extent.

But since you are having doubt about it you may set the display brightness at low level such as 30%.

You may also choose auto brightness option it will adjust the brightness according to the surrounding light but it may consume a little more power than in normal case.

There are also some other thing that may affect the battery life like if you leave the 3G on while not in use.

Even if you leave your GPS on while not using it the battery life gets depleted very fast.

I think you need to customize the some settings so that your battery consumption is low.

:: If you want to reduce the usage of battery then delete the unwanted application from the device.

:: Also disabled the Wifi, GPS system and Bluetooth function when you have to no use.

:: You can also disable the notification light, and also reduce the brightness on such level that
you have to visible everything’s on device.

:: Also if there is no use of live wallpaper then you have to avoid it.

:: So this way you can improve the battery life of your Ac er Android smartphone.

You must decrease the brightness level so that battery doesn't consume a lot.The more brightness the more battery will drain,to reduce the battery consumption you must lower down the level by 40%.MENU-SETTINGS-DISPLAY-BRIGHTNESS-DRAG THE SLIDER-AFTER ADJUSTMENT-OK.Secondly,stop the data connection when you are not using internet connection.Another things which you could do is to turn off the GPS & WIFI(if using).Use less wallpaper & with less animation.Set the animation to SOME only.Do the Take out the phone from charging when it shows complete charging.Because over charging leads to make battery weak.Try to play less games because playing games will drain battery a lot.

My dear friend you are saying that your tablet's battery gets drained too soon after some use.Well, dear friend that indicates that the battery has been damaged and it needs to be replaced. If your device is still under the warranty then i think you should take it to the costumer care service center and they will replace the battery for free. However if the warranty has been expired you shouldn't worry because a new battery for your device can be bought and i think i will cost you around 1000-1500 rupees.Meanwhile you should take some precautions like turning off the wi fi and gps when not in use. They drain more battery than any other app.

    Good luck and thanks!!!

Yes it's high brightness make battery loss..
So try to keep your brightness low and stop live wallpaper..
Stop unwanted apps running and used your device..
Still your battery life low means Your battery is problem.. So try to fix your error with in warranty period..
