    Hello friend,

You should try performing a factory reset. Usually, it is the only solution for problems from software updates.
Factory reset will wipe all your user data i.e your apps, settings, etc. Contacts is not a problem though as they are backed up on your Gmail account.
You can use App Backup and Restore (of Titanium Backup if rooted) to backup apps, and SMS Backup and Restore to backup SMS's.

To perform factory reset follow these steps:
    - Go to Settings.
    - Privacy.
    - Factory Data Reset.
    - Tap Reset phone, enter details and your device would be reset to factory settings.

    Regards!

    Hi,
That might be a framework problem in order to get rid of the issue just reboot the phone. If the problem still hangs then reboot into recovery and then wipe cache and dalvik cache and see if it helps. Also you can try wiping everything before installing the ROM such as "System, data, boot" in the recovery menu and then do a clean install to find out the issue is gone.
    Hope this Helps.

If you have updated the OS manually by rooting, you might end up with small problems like this. There is no actual reason to solve this problems. But you can try some simple tricks and check whether you can get rid of this issue.

    1) Reboot the Device.
    2) Remove the battery from the Device and then insert it back before recharging it again.
    3) If you think the problem is permanent then you have to service the Device, No other setting manipulations can be done.

Ok Your flash or update your phone incorrectly.this is programming problem so it can be easily repaired.
you have to reflash your phone using official firmware,so it can be better to go to service center instead
manual flash.it solves your problem.before flash backup your data first.
    good luck.........................

It may be due to software problem. You should first try to do few things by your ownself.Like you should Reset your phone. To do that Go to settings,in settings will see Privacy.Tap on privacy & below will see personal Data. There you find Factory Data Reset.Tap on that & phone will be asking for an option like On Or Cancel.Tap on Ok your phone will be reset. But before you rest take the back up for every Apps.SMS,photos,Videos song etc.Again put phone on charge & see whether after unplugging the charger icon still appear or not.If does't appear then good if appear then take your phone to the service centre there they will solve your problem. You can go to service centre before reset your phone.

    Hello

It seems to be some kind of software problem. To be honest all the updates are not 100% error free. So this might be a fault

But you can try doing these things and see if it helps.

    1) Try doing a factory reset. You will find it in settings.

    2)Try restarting the phone

3)Try reinstalling jellybean(If you want and if it isnt a serious issue then dont do it)

    Thank you

you can try having a software reset..
to do a reset go to Settings >> Privacy >> Factory data reset >> Reset phone..

this will wipe ll your data..
so make sure to have a backup of your current data..
you can find many apps for creating backup at play.google.com..

My Samsung Galaxy Note sometimes shows charging symbol on the battery even when the charger is not connected. Some other times, it keeps switching between charging and discharging (like every 5 seconds)..

The only thing that has worked for me so far is that whenever this happens, i connect my charger to the phone without connecting the other end to the wall socket or the computer. I disconnect it after 10 minutes or so and the phone is back to normal. Sometimes when I disconnect it, it starts doing it again, then I just connect it back for another ten minutes.

I don't know what is happening here but this is the only thing that has worked for me. I have tried everything: Reboot, Take the Battery out and put it back, Factory reset. I am yet to take it to the Samsung Service Center though!

Re: Battery still shows charging icon even after removing the charger after jelly bean update in Samsung Galaxy S2

    hey friend ..

I think this problem in your Samsung Galaxy S2 can be due to the following reasons :

    - Your phone's battery has got damaged or has become faulty..
    - Your phone got affected by viruses
    - Your phone's software got corrupted

For this problem try the following steps to solve the problem :

    - First replace your battery with the other battery and then try to use the phone ..If it works fine then you have to just buy a new battery for your phone ..
    - Scan your phone for any viruses or malwares and install antivirus in it ..
    - Reset and update your phone with the new software

If the above steps not solve the problem then i would suggest you to take your phone to the service centre and get it checked
    thanks
