Changing the bottom shortcuts on Samsung Galaxy Ace DUOS

    Hi,

I recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy Ace DUOS. How do I change the 4 bottom shortcuts (is this the right name for them?)? I mean the the dialer, contacts, messages, and menu. Suppose for example I want to use Go SMS instead of the default messaging program and I want to replace its shortcut.

    Thank you in advance.
    Ra'ed

    Hello Guest,
This can be done by first placing the app icon on the homescreen and then Drag and Drop the App over the one you want to replace. But, the default software lets you manage only 4 apps at the dock. You can install the app "Go Launcher EX" from the playstore. It will add a swap dock feature, plus you can change the themes of your phone with it. You can also replace icons from the themes. Themes can be downloaded from Play Store easily. It gives your phone a complete makeover, so you should try it. Thank You.

The home screen shortcuts you can see in the picture. You can change those shortcuts using the Settings menu in your Android mobile. The procedure is to go to the settings of the home screen shortcuts and then choose the Bottom shortcuts settings so that you could be able to change the option which ever you want.

Yes.. Its possible to change the default shortcuts you have in the Home page.
Try to follow the below steps.
    1. In the menu, touch on 'GoSMS' and try to create a shortcut on the Home page.
    2. Among the shortcuts, touch on 'Messages' (default messaging app) and try to push it to the option 'Remove'/'Delete' icon/'Trash' icon which might come on top of the screen.
    3. Now, you see the place where the messages shortcut was there as empty.
    4. Now, you try to pull the 'GoSMS' app to that place.

This method will definitely replace the shortcuts on the Home page.

In case if you are unable to remove the shortcuts from the bottom of the page, try to check the Home screen/Shortcut options in your settings.
