Could not View the Messages in Regional Languages in Android?

Hi, I have been using Samsung Galaxy Fit with Android 2.2 version. One of my friend sent me a message with Tamil Language. But, while viewing that message, i could see only the boxes like appearances. It is in some decoded format. How can I include regional languages in my Android Phone?

Re: Could not View the Messages in Regional Languages in Android?

    Hi,
Not able to view regional messages is due to the fact that the device cannot detect the Tamil font and it can only detect certain languages that are available or pre-installed in the phone due to which the message has appeared in like boxes and if the Tamil is supported by the device it can be downloaded and installed in the device. However to my knowledge it is not available and so it is possible to change the appearance of Tamil text in the phone. Also in order to check if that is available you can navigate to "Settings" from the application drawer and then select the option as "Language&input" and then change language of the phone to Tamil if it is available.
    Hope this Helps.

You need to install the different Language Font Applications available in the Market, Thats the only way you can see the messages. For Example if your Language is Hindi, Just search through the Market for "Hindi Font" and install the same in your Device.

Reboot the device, only then it will work. All the Best.

    you can see the boxes..
it is due to Android do not provide the regional languages by default..
    to view a Tamil message..
you need to install the Tamil version fonts..
to download the fonts.. go to play.google.com..
and search for the required font.. eg. Tamil font..
then you can download and install the font..
