Coverage issues on Android Google Nexus 4

It is only a few days since I have started using my Google Nexus phone and find that I’m having a range problem while using it. My SIM card worked really fine with my old phone but now it shows weak signals. Why is this so?

First of all, get a check on the actual signal strength that your phone is receiving now. This can be done by going to ‘Settings’ and then selecting ‘about the phone’ from it. In this select ‘status’ and get the signal strength noted down. If the signal strength is really down you could try resetting your phone but I’m not sure it would do much good. If it is that 3G is not working well for you, you could try switching back to 2G and then see if there is coverage. This can be done by going to settings and selecting ‘more’. Then select ‘mobile networks’ and select the option saying ‘use only 2G’. this could work for you.

I think you need to change the network mode that GSM,UM-TS mode.

Steps to select the network mode on Android:

:: Go to the home screen page by pressing ""Menu"" button.

:: Now select the "settings" option from the screen.

:: After that select and open the "Wireless & Networks" option and then open the "WiFi settings".

:: Once it opens, you have to open the "Network notification" where you have to select the network mode.

:: Now you see the "mobile networks" on the screen, under it you open the network mode.

:: Here you select the supported network modes like 3G or GSM on your handset.

:: By switching this mode ,may be your signal strength is increased.

    Done
