Does disabling the GPS Satellites feature improve battery life in android?

I am using an LG android smartphone. I wanted to uncheck the GPS Satellites application. I want to know whether disabling GPS Satellite application can have any influence on improving the overall battery life of my android handset. Please explain in detail if possible.

    Hello

Yes it does improve your battery. Its a very easy concept if you have more apps active and open obviously they will consume more battery.

Similarly if your internal operations like wifi, bluetooth, gps, network data connection all are active they will be contineously working in a hidden manner but will be using the battery.

So to improve your battery you can turn thesee things off when not required.

    Thanks

Yes,it has influence once you disable the GPS.If you keep using GPS & never turned it off then it will consume lots battery.& your phone's battery will drain quickly.
If use GPS when it require most instead of continue using then you can save battery of you phone. Also switched of WIFi when you don't need it also drain battery.Kill those apps which are running of no use. Will increase the battery life.

    Hi,
Disabling the GPS satellite of course reduces the consumption of battery because there are certain application that access the GPS for determination of location such application tend to turn ON the Gps option when ever it is necessary. For example application Facebook uses the GPS satellite for determining the location of the user in case if the user posts any update the Facebook application also determines the location and posts the update with location. Even though these applications asks the user to share location when they are first installed many users allow these applications to determine the location which there by causes the battery drain. Also the default browser if you are searching for anything in the web try to find out the nearest search option available to you so that the search results will be more valuable some user like the use of this option and some don't , if you do not need the use of location services then disabling the GPS saves you battery.
    Hope this helps.
