Downgrading Samsung Galaxy S from Ice Cream Sandwich to Gingerbread

After upgrading my Samsung Galaxy S to Ice Cream Sandwich, I found that the performance of my phone has not improved much. Now, I am planning to downgrade it to Gingerbread itself. What is the downgrade process for that?

    Dear,
Still official ICS for Galaxy S has not been released by Samsung.
You have upgrade your device with Cracked version.
So you have to face some bugs.
Now to degrade your device Visit nearest Samsung care.
They will install 2.3.6 ginger bread in your device
    .
    Thank you..!

If it is from the same developer then you can easily downgrade by installing the gingerbread Rom via Clockworkmod but if you are moving towards a Stock Rom then flash an upgrade as "downgrade.tar" which can be flashed via odin and then install the Required Rom. Please remember that you should data wipe\format while you are downgrading.

    Hope it helps.

For manual flash. Do following steps.
1.download gingerbread firmware from net(search on google).
    2.Get .md5 firmware.
3.get odin software for pc (400kb).
    4. now in odin select firmware downloaded before and flash your phone.

    Hello

If you want to upgrade you can do it from kies in your home.

To downgrade you will have to go to a customer service center. They will do it for free if you have warranty.

If you want to do it in your home do download the firmware but it is risky as you might loose your warranty and you might damage your phone.

    Thanks

    Hello

I dont think their is any way of going back to the previous version as samsung doesnt provide you with such facility.

If you want you can root your device by downloading custom roms from internet like cyanogenmod 7

It is stable and also available for your device. Just search for cyanogenmod 7 for galaxy ace and download it from their site.

You have to know about rooting before applying it. It can damage your phone if not done properly. You can get the detailed explanation about this process from youtube.

Another way is visit a samsung service center and ask them to downgrade your phone to gingerbread. May be they will help you

    Thank you
