If you have the files on Email, PRESS the menu button when you access the file, it will Give you options to "Download the Attachment",using that option just download the file to External Memory card and access the file later.

If you are accessing some pdf files directly from internet then, Open the PDF File first, after that press Menu --> save Option --> This will download the file to Your External Memory.

If those are your mail attachments then they can be easily downloaded from the application as there will be an option as download attachment. If those files are at certain links then visit the respective page through your mobile browser and long press on the file link then a pop-up window will appear in that you will find an option as save link and if you select that then you will be able to save the file to your SD card.
    Hope this helps.

Yes.You can save or Download the PDF files in your sony ericsson xperia ray.
To Open the PDF file, you require to install the adobe reader in your Android.
After installation of adobe reader , you can open the pdf file surely.but still some user just like you have a problem to download or save the pdf file within the android so that they can easily open that important file without browsing internet.

For that , when you try to open the the pdf file.before that , you are asked to download the file.In that , you should tap on the "download".If you open the pdf file directly ,then it will just open and not to download.
so , when you are asked to download the pdf file , you should download first and then after open the downloaded pdf file.
In some version of Android ,there will be option of save the file when open the pdf file.In such a way , you can also save the pdf file in your android.
