    Facing problem after updating my Samsung Galaxy Gio GT-S5660 to ICS version

    I recently upgraded my Samsung Galaxy Gio GT-S5660 to ICS version according to the steps provided in website but right after that when it looked like it was working fine but after 5 seconds when I booted up the mobile it showed the Android symbol and showed only black screen. What is the issue? How to fix it?

    Hello friend,


    I will try to solve your problem just listen to my advice.

    You have updated your mobile with unofficial version of ICS which is proved to be risky. Because the company itself couldn't develop a software such that your phone can work perfectly with all the features.

    You also lost the warranty after installing that version of unofficial ICS .So hence there is no other option for you to just go to your phone service center of your mobile manufacturing company and request them and try to find whether your problem is going to be solved or not if it is gonna be solved then you need to pay the price for it so you better pay the money and bring life back in to your phone.

    Hello there,
    I think you just bricked your phone because you didn't root it correctly. I also had a Samsung Galaxy Gio and I have once bricked it, too. I also wanted the ICS version on my phone. And...I bricked it, but I went to the service center and they fixed it. They just need to put on a new software, it needs...10 minutes I think!(or maybe less) So I suggest you do the same thing as I did, I hope this will help you out.

    Hello friend,


    You had installed an unauthorized or unofficial version of ICS software which is not available in the market by your mobile manufacturer.So you will lose the warranty of your phone.As there is no chance for you instead to take it to service center where only it could be resolved.Your problem will be solved over there but they will charge some amount because of your work.

    Hello friend,
    There may be some software regarding issue to must have to rset your phone and then try again.

    Remember, by performing a reset, all your data- settings, messages, apps, etc would be deleted.
    So backup up anything important.

    Follow these steps:
    - Go to 'Settings'.
    - Privacy.
    - 'Factory Data Reset'.
    - Fill in your id and password and confirm.
    - You can choose whether to delete SD card data or not.

    After the process is complete, your device would return to its out-of-the-box state or to its factory settings.
