It has to be noted that if there is any kind of software update available, then most of them will receive it through ‘OTA’ also known as ‘Over the Air’ update. If you have not received any over the air updates, then it is also possible for you to check for the software updates manually. For doing this, you will have to tap on the ‘Menu’ button first. Then you will have to navigate towards ‘Settings’. Now choose the option denoted as ‘About Phone’. Then you will have to tap on the option that denotes ‘System Updates’. This will give you information about any software updates that are available for your android device. If available, you can download it and thereby update your android device to the latest operating system.
Many of the applications receive their updates automatically thru "OTA" (i.e. Over the air)
But if you have not recd it , you can go for Manual update
Steps :
- Go to Menu
- Go to Settings
- Click on “About Phone”
- Now Click on “System Updates”
- The system will start searching for any upgrades available in the market
- If yes, Click on Download and Install

Hi,
Go to menu - Settings - click on the option about the phone - then go to system updates - it will automatically start its search if there is any upgrades in the market or not
If it says yes then click download and install
Its tough to say the exact time of upgradation
But you can check most of the time in your About Phone column
Enter in Settiings from Menu
Click About Phone row in the options
Now click on Software Updates
If your phone is ready to get update or is compatible you can see the options for it
So enjoy if u have at the particular time
Hello
Normally for motorola devices the updates come via over the air. So whenever the update arrives and you have a data connection you will automatically get a notification about the same.
Else if you want to know then just go to settings-->>about phone-->>software update
Thanks
