How ‘Voice Actions’ functions in Android Jelly Bean?

I recently bought a Jelly Bean device. I found that it has an improved ‘Voice Actions’ feature in the operating system. I do not know clearly the benefits of using this feature. Please explain in detail with examples.

The new voice actions include question-and-answer communication between you and your device,
you can ask questions and the results are spoken back to you.
Graphics also go alongside the questions are presented to give you a quick glance at corresponding information.
The most important feature to the new voice actions is a solid offline mode.
Google’s voice system is great as long as you have a good data connection.
Offline mode allows for speech dictation even when your device isn’t connected to any data network.
You can send a text message or type using your voice.

The Voice action feature in the device can be found out which goes by the name as "Google Now" which can be used by either from lockscreen or from the application drawer. The Google now provides you features such as to search for all the details that you need such as If you want to get the weather of the day you can use the Voice action to get the weather features. Also you can get flight timing, News updates,Weather updates from time to time and it can be as such that they will be in a Single touch. The Voice can be used to find the nearest entertainment like if you give you the Movie name it will provide you show timings and cinemas where the movie is showing. Like these there are many features available in the Google Now.
