It is possible to sync your Google contacts to your android smart phone. You need to get the contacts onto the Google account first. Then you need to tap on the menu key from the home screen. Then you need to tap on the option called Settings. There you will be able to find the option called Google Synchronization. There you need to check the option Auto-Sync, Gmail and Contacts. This will put the contacts in Google account onto your android phone.

First download the gmail app from market, if its already on your phone then just login with your userid and password
Then go to settings-->>accounts & sync-->> tap on your google account-->> tap on sync now see that all the options are ticked like sync contacts, sync emails etc
Thats it automatically you will have all the contacts within a minute
And make sure you have a active data connection while doing this else it wont work

1.Firstly go to the main menu of your phone.
2.Now tap on the option of 'Settings' tab.
3.And then go for the option of 'Accounts & Sync' tab.
4.Now tap and enable the option of 'Auto Sync' if you want to sync all the contacts and picasa pictures and calender events automatically to your phone.
5.If not you want to Sync only contacts manually then select the required Gmail account consisting all the contacts.
6.And then go for the option of 'Sync Contacts' tab.
That's it by following the above mentioned steps your problem will get solved for sure.............
