I have an Android Samsung Galaxy S3 mobile phone. I would like to block calls and other notifications on my phone at office hours as they are a huge distraction during important meetings and conferences. How is it possible to disable these at times on the phone?

You would be to get this done on your Samsung mobile by changing some of the settings on it. On opening the app drawer, select the ‘settings’ option. From this page click on the ‘Blocking mode’ option. On tapping on this option you would be able to access the options within it. You would be able to check the boxes next to all the alerts that need to be blocked. On scrolling down the time range for this blocking can be set. This property is set to ‘Always’ by default. On confirming the option, you would get these alerts blocked on the phone.

- Now select option Blocking mode
- Turn on this Blocking mode

- Diable incoming calls
- Disable notifications
- Disable alarms and times
