How to clear off text messages from inbox sent box and outbox on a bulk from Android based Motorola Droid phone?

I have issues sending and receiving messages on my Android based Motorola Droid phone. My friend suggested me that clearing of all the text messages from inbox sent box and outbox will help to solve the issue as the memory may be full. What needs to be done to clear it off?

You have to first open the applications from your android phone. There you should select the app labelled ‘messaging’. Then you should select the ‘text messaging’ option from within that. Next thing you should do is to select the menu key. Now you must tap on the option named ‘select multiple’. Then you must choose the option to check all of the conversations on your phone. Finally you have to hit on the ‘delete’ option. By doing so all the conversations on your phone will get deleted on a stretch. As your friend told, doing this will most probably help you to recover from the message sending and receiving issues.
