How to copy music into my HTC Desire HD Android phone without installing any software in the PC? How to copy the music easily?

I bought the new HTC Desire HD Android phone recently and I didnít get any CD along with it for driver or PC Suite installation. Now whenever I try to connect my phone to the PC it expects for some software to copy the music files. Can you tell me how to copy the music files without any need of software installed in the PC?

    Hello,

    Just Go to your settings.
Tap on wireless and networks option, there you will get an option USB utilities. Tap on it and select USB Mass Storage as connection mode.
Then directly connect your phone to PC via USB cable . Then You can browse your phone memory and SD card memory from your PC directly. Just drag n drop your music files into your Phone from PC... enjoy

    Thank You.

    Hello Guest,
There is a method by which you can easily copy files without installing any software on the PC. You must have received a USB cable with your handset. Just connect the USB cable in one of the USB ports in your PC and the other end to the phone. Now the PC automatically installs USB Drivers for your phone and recognizes it as a storage device. You will see a Green Android sign on your phone screen when the connection has been established. Now there is an option, "Turn on Mass Storage". Just tap on it. The indicator now turns Orange. Now your PC will create an external drive using your sdcard. Open that drive and you will be able to see sdcard contents. Now you can copy the music files from computer and paste it into the desired folder in sdcard. Once you have finished copying, be sure to tap on the "Turn off Mass Storage" button in the phone screen, else your data will be lost. Last, but not the least, please reboot your phone, else the music library won't get updated. Thank You, hope it helps! :-)
