As a first step, make a single press on the ‘Menu’ button. Go through the horizontal menu located at the bottom part afterwards and tap over the ‘More’ option. A list of options will pop up on the screen after that. Scroll through that list and hit the ‘Settings’ option. When you can view the settings options, hit the ‘General Preferences’ option. You can then find ‘Show pictures’ option on the screen along with a checkbox. Clear off the checkbox by tapping over it.
