Either you send every data to Computer before you reset with the help of USB cable.Or install app to have backup.There are so many apps available in Google Play Store.You can install any one app before you reset your device.To reset MENU-SETTINGS-PRIVACY-PERSONAL DATA-FACTORY DATA RESET.The best backup app is Titanium Backup.This app has been using by many users before they reset their device.You can install this from Google Play Store.Open the Google Play Store & then type Titanium Backup & put on search.Once done a new window will appear in that tap on Titanium backup & then touch to Install.App will be downloaded & Installed in your device.Before you proceed for reset,take the backup.

There may be some software regarding issue to must have to reset your phone and then try again.
Remember, by performing a reset, all your data- settings, messages, apps, etc would be deleted.
So backup up anything important.
Follow these steps:
- Go to 'Settings'.
- Privacy.
- 'Factory Data Reset'.
- Fill in your id and password and confirm.
- You can choose whether to delete SD card data or not.
After the process is complete, your device would return to its out-of-the-box state or to its factory settings.
