In order to prevent your Mototrola Defy to stop connecting to a particular network then navigate to settings from the application menu and the select the option as "Wireless&Networks" then turn ON your Wifi connection there you will be able to find the networks available and tap on the particular network you don't want to connect and select the option "Forget".
    Hope this Helps.

    Dear,

You are facing this issue because you had connect it with those network atleast once and now your device remember it and gets connect to the available remembered network automatically.
Here this is not a big deal. You can easily solve it out.All you need to do just Remove those Network from your List.
For this Tap on Network for a while until pop up menu appears, now Click to Forget in order to remove it.
    Its done.
    Pleasure to help you...!!

    hi
go to settings and wifi and delete all saved networks that you have except your home network. this way whenever you turn your wifi on it will connect directly to that wifi not the other networks.

Simple, whenever the Device gets connected to the Other connections you can prevent it by doing a simple tweak to the WIFI settings. Follow the below path,

Menu --> Settings --> Wifi & Network Settings --> Wifi Settings.

Now choose the other network and hard press, there will be option displayed to forget the Connection. Choose "Forget" Now your Device will not connect to that particular Connection.

Download and install Wi-Fi Ruler (a WiFi Manager)--- link

The app allows you to set connection priority so that you can avoid certain free access points...

Next it also has a option to Skip "open" access points so that you do not switch networks due to weak signal...

Well you need to go to the settings first. Once you are in settings goto the wireless and network. There goto the wifi connection. Once you are in there select wifi enable button. Then select the network you want to access . You will have no problem.

This problem must be happening because you must have connected to those network at least once..
otherwise it won't get connected automatically every time..
you can delete those saved networks..
to do so.. do as follows..
Go to Settings >> Wireless and Networks >> Turn ON wifi >> Tap on network you don't want to connect automatically >> Choose Forget..
this will delete the network from saved ones.. then it will not connect to it automatically anymore..

    Hello Guest,
You can point to Menu>Settings>Wireless and Networks>Wi-fi. Now, turn on the wi-fi, and you will see a list of available networks. Tap on your home network manually and you can avoid connecting to other networks. But, if these networks are still interfering then its better to remove them by tapping on them and selecting the "Forget" Option. Thank You. Hope this helps.
