How to reboot the Android Jelly Bean device into safe mode?

I am currently using an Android 4.1 on my tablet. I have heard that booting into safe mode allows the device to prevent the majority of applications from loading into memory. How can I possibly reboot the device in safe mode?

Before you start, press the Power button on your Android phone. Then a power off option will appear on the screen, and you can click on that. Then the ‘Reboot into safe mode’ message will pop up on the screen; just tap on the OK button in the message box to continue. Then wait for the phone to restart. After that the phone will automatically boot into safe mode. If the phone boots into safe mode successfully, ‘Safe Mode’ text will be subscripted on the bottom left of the screen. You can now perform all the required actions to fix your phone problems. When you are done with everything, just reboot the phone and you can get out of the safe mode and start up the phone normally.
