How to reset the Samsung galaxy S i9000 security code?

I have the Samsung galaxy S i9000 mobile phone, I select the security code for my phone and now I want to reset it, so how to reset Samsung galaxy S I9000 security code?

Follow these methods to reset your phone
1)switch off phone
2) Pull battery and reinsert it
3) Hold the volume down button
4) Press the power button for sometime and then release
5 Menu with options like recovery, simlock wll appear.
6) Choose clear storage option
7) Press and release the power button
8) Do NO by volume down and YES by volume up button
It will wipe out the earlier settings and then enter your new details.

SET PASSWORD
when you click on the set password button it will ask you
for the previous password enter it and then change your your password .....
