    Hello Friend,

Using your Android phone as modem(tethering) is very common however the reverse process is not so common. In order to use your PC's internet connecton on your Android device you'll need to reverse tether your Phone.

You'll need to follow these steps:-

1)Download reverse Tethering tool on your system. The ZIP file contains AndroidTool.exe, ADB, and the Android APK.

2)Extract the ZIP file to desired location.

3)Enable USB debugging(on Android):- Go to to Settings > Applications > Development > USB Debugging.

4)Run AndroidTool.exe from the folder where you extracted Zip files.

5)Connect your phone to PC and click on the Refresh Devices button present in Android USB Tunnel window.

6)Select a Domain Name Server (DNS) from detected devices.

7)Click on "Show Android Interface button".

8)Click on the Connect button on the Android USB Tunnel window on your computer.

Now you can enjoy you internet connection of your PC on your mobile.

    Hope It Helps!

    Thanks and visit again

    Hello friend

Let me tell you i m also using SAMSUNG Galaxy Y ,facing the same problem, adhoc WIFI not working.May connectify or Virtual Router help u to get internet access without doing anything else.Well they didnt worked in my case.

One more thing : If your device is rooted, then try to change /system/etc/tiwlan.ini (wifi-configuration)file on your android phone with the file available on the link. This helped me too. But my device is rooted. I wont suggest u to root your device because it will void your warranty.

For instructions, follow the link :-http://www.londatiga.net/it/how-to-share-internet-connection-between-pc-and-android-phone-using-wifi/

You can do this by installing MHotSpot in your PC. MHotSpot is a portable application which simplifies the process of sharing your wireless network connection with other computers and devices such as Android, Symbian phones, printers and Tablet PC.

I will suggest you to visit this link for more detailed description and how to. http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/make-your-pc-a-wifi-hotspot-with-mhotspot/

Reverse tethering is the trick. There are no standard apps available from play store as this requires your phone to be rooted. The best tool available right now is from senior XDA member "capslock66" called AndroidTool. You can download it from here. The best thing is - once installed connecting is just open the tool and click "Connect" ^_^
