How to turn off 3G on Acer tablet running on android OS?

My Acer tablet running on android OS has inbuilt 3G features. But I prefer using the 2G feature as it is unnecessarily draining most of the battery. How can I turn off the 3G option on my tablet?

GSM mode never support the 3G connection ,so using this mode you can disable the 3G connection.

Steps to disable the 3G(UM-TS) network mode on Android:

    1. Go to the home screen page by pressing ""Menu"" button.

    2. Now select the "settings" option from the screen.

    3. After that select and open the "Wireless & Networks" option and then open the "WiFi settings".

    4. Once it opens, you have to open the "Network notification" where you have to select the "network mode".

    5. Now you see the "mobile networks" on the screen, under it you open the network mode.

    6. Here you easily select the GSM network modes on your device.
