    Importing all the contacts from hotmail to android?

    Can I import all contacts from hotmail to my android phone? Explain in detail if possible

    You have to create gmail account first,then you can import all your contact from hotmail account to gmail.
    In Gmail you have option-go to the setting then go importing mail/contact and send where you wish to send.

    Hello Friend,


    Unfortunately direct syncing b/w hotmail and android is not possible.However you can use your Google Account to import contacts from hotmail to android phone.Just follow thes simple steps and import contacts from hotmail to android.


    Steps:-


    1)Log into Windows Live Hotmail from your PC.


    2)Export your contacts:- Go to Manage > Export.Save the file on your PC


    3)Log into Gmail.


    4)Import your contacts.Go to More actions > Import contacts.


    5)Import the Contact list from Gmail account to your Android phone(Refer our forum How to sync my Android with my Gmail? for details)

    Hello Dear,

    It should pick up the settings automatically when you specify your hotmail address. If not the details areIt should pick up the settings automatically when you specify your hotmail address. If not the details are given below ,

    Hotmail Incoming Mail Server (POP3) - pop3.live.com
    Hotmail Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) - smtp.live.com

    For contacts, you have to go to 'People' then click Menu button and select 'View', and then
    you can select contacts you wanted to import.

    Hello Yes it is an simple process...

    just add your hotmail account in your handset , after adding account they display options that add contacts click on that then sync the contacts will automatically added to your mobile .

    process :
    Home --> settings --> accounts and sync ..... All the best

    You can import your contacts from hotmail via following methods:

    First of all you need to login to your hotmail account and export your contacts to the PC.
    Then you can copy the exported file in your sd card.

    Now open your contacts in android device and press/tap "option" and select Import/Export , then select import from sd card.
    Now choose the hotmail contact file that you have exported in your sd card.

    Also you can login to gmail and import your contacts to gmail from hotmail. To do so Login to gmail and go to contacts, then go to more action and select import. now choose the hotmail contacts file.

    Android is product of Google so it allows syncing of the gmail account with the android phone. Transfer the contacts from hotmail to your gamil account on google. Open account and sync tab in phone. Select the account you want to syn with the phone. It will sync all your contacts with phone

    Dear ,
    It is so easy.
    All you need to do is just Add your Hot mail Account to Your Smartphone.
    (Settings>>>>Account and Sycn>>>Add account)
    Now sync that account with your Smatphone.
    Data will be sync and It will added to your device.
    No need to worry.

    Hi,

    its pretty simple to do.

    You have to create gmail account first,

    then you can import all your contact from hotmail account to gmail.



    And from there you can easily import it to android

    Offcourse you can import all the contacts from hotmail to android via Google Account

    To import all the contacts from hotmail to android via Google Account,you have to follow some steps :


    Steps:-
    1. First Login to Windows Live Hotmail in your Computer
    2. Now Export your contacts and save the file in Computer. To export navigate to
    Manage > Export
    1. Now Login to Gmail
    2. And Import all the contacts. To export navigate to
    More Actions> Import contacts
    1. Now Sync all the contact from Gmail to Android

    It is very easy
    1. Open your email application on your phone and give a mail id and password.
    2. Press next and select exchange give your whole user name and password and server id as m.hotmail.com
    3. Now fill the rest of your details it in as it is required then your account will be setup
    4. Now navigate to settings->accounts&sync from menu and select the hotmail id then select sync contacts
    5. There you are setup with your contacts in your contacts applications.

    hello friends..........
    First you need to login to your Hotmail account,
    Just add your Hotmail account in your handset.
    then you exported file in your SD card.
    now open your contact in android and press option select( Import or Export)
    then select import option from SD card.....
    finally contacts exchange between Hotmail and android............

    First log into Hotmail and download the contacts in any preferred formats, the feature will be available in settings and the term used is "Export contacts".


    Now, log into Google Account and in settings press import contacts and select the contacts imported from Hotmail.


    Now, add the Google account to which you just imported your Hotmail contacts and press Sync Contacts. To Sync Contacts go to Settings---> Accounts and Sync---> select the Google account and press Sync Contacts...
