Maps using so much battery on Karbonn S5 Titanium

Iíve had my Karbonn S5 Titanium on my desk mostly this wee
kend, but I didn't use Maps or anything I just used Bluetooth Music to my stereo. Other than that it's sat on the desk, with the occasional call, text or YouTube. Why is Maps in the top usage? I havenít seen the GPS icon in the notification tray or anything?

Maps consume lots of battery when you open or even if its running on background. If by mistake you have activated GPS then still battery would be consumed. So,you must force close maps. For doing that MENU-SETTINGS-APPLICATIONS-MANAGE APPLICATIONS-MAPS-FORCE CLOSE-OK.After that app will be closed, now check GPS if its activated then off that.To turn off MENU-SETTINGS-LOCATION & SECURITY-USE GPS SATELLITE-TAP ON CHECK & TICK MARK WILL BE DISAPPEARED.

    hey friend ..

Just check for the GPS that it is turned or not by going to settings < location < GPS
Turn it off if it is enabled to increase the battery backup of your phone..

You can try out some of the points to increase battery backup of your phone...:

    - The brightness of the phone should be kept as low as possible in which you think can adjust to operate the phone normally
    - Also the vibration of the phone is one thing which consumes the battery more .. so , if you think you dont need the vibration facility then do check it and make it off...
    - Try to keep your phone in power saver mode or sleep mode should be activated...
    - Bluetooth , GPS and WIFI are the features which should be turned off when not in use...

    - Always charge your phone completely and not partially
    - Unnecessary apps being opened in the background also consumes battery ... So , close them when not in use ...

    thanks
