Media library not updating in the android phone

I've tried clearing data from Download Manager and also cleared Media Storage. I've shut down, restarted and then run Media Rescan application. Still the music player cannot read the MP3 files. Can anyone suggest a way to resolve this problem?

The media list is not updated because the cache file is not updated after the addition of new media. Try to UN-mount and Re-mounting the SD card from Settings---> SD card and phone Storage---> Unmount SD card.

Also try to clear the App DATA. To delete app data, go to Settings---> Applications---> Manage Applications---> All Tab---> Music application and hit clear data. The app will rebuild the app data during which the music library will be updated. This will defenitely fix the issue...

Might be the Music files are corrupted and that the music player cannot detect them and in order to check that the music player is compatible or not. Open the File manager application and locate it in your SD card and then tap on that to play the Music file if that is playing properly then the problem is with the music player if not it is with Music Player.
If that is with the music player then open Settings->Applications->All Applications-> then select the music player application and then clear cache and data and then reboot the phone and run a media scan again. If the file is corrupted then replace the file in Sd card and then again play it with the Music Player.
    Hope this Helps.

Check the "Type" of the Music files you have uploaded, Certain mobile devices only recognize certain type of files as Music files in that case you may lose the other formatted files in the Playlist.

Check for the "Type" and if necessary convert the Files to the format in which it works well with the mobile device. You can also try clearing out all the associated data with the Player Application, mount the SD card and and refresh and insert it back for proper synchronization.
