Messaging application crashing after android Jelly Bean update in android

I am using a Samsung android handset. I recently updated the android operating system to the latest Jelly Bean version. But ever since that the handset is witnessing greater instabilities followed by frequent messaging application crashing. I would like to know how this problem can be rectified. Should I downgrade to the older version of the android operating system.

    Hi,
The problem with the device where the messaging application is crashing a lot might be due to the reason that the ROM that you have installed is not installed properly so make sure that you properly wipe the device before installing the ROM by going into recovery if you still have problems with the device not being able to use the messaging application properly then do three wipes as "Format Data, system, boot and an extension if there is one". After that install the ROM and check that the messaging application is working properly. If you still have problems then contact the ROM developer. If that is an official upgrade for the Galaxy S3 then take the phone to an authorized service center and get the ROM installed again.
    Hope this Helps.

    Hi,

If you have upgraded to your officially provided Os upgrade then you doeant need to worry about that.
You should so factory reset if such problem ever exist .
There was no need odf downgrading the os.
Even if your issues arent solved talk with your service centre's representative for more detaolde explanation.

    REGARDS,

    Hello friend,
There may be some software regarding issue to must have to reset your phone and then try again.

Remember, by performing a reset, all your data- settings, messages, apps, etc would be deleted.
    So backup up anything important.

    Follow these steps:
    - Go to 'Settings'.
    - Privacy.
    - 'Factory Data Reset'.
    - Fill in your id and password and confirm.
    - You can choose whether to delete SD card data or not.

After the process is complete, your device would return to its out-of-the-box state or to its factory settings.

    Regards!
