Mp3 Songs not updated in the Music Player in Android

Hi, I am using Samsung Galaxy SII Phone. Recently, I have copied some MP3 songs in the files folder by Transferring Via Data Cable. After copying, I tried to search for the songs i copied. But, I could not found it in the music player. Do i need to update anything?? Is there any other way, I could find it??

    Hi,
First check that the files are of correct format and it is supported in the phone. Also you can run a media scan on your own by using the feature to unmount the SD card and remount it. That is this can be done by opening the application drawer and then select the "Settings" option under settings you will find an option as "Storage" select that, there you will find an option to unmount the SD card press that and wait for a while once the card is unmounted then again remount he SD card so that a media scan is made to run which in turn updates the music library and so you can get the songs that you have added to the device also you can check in the "Music Player Settings" to the update the media library and see if it gets recognized.
    Hope this helps.

    Hello Guest,
When you transfer a song/mp3 file via USB, it is added to the sd card folder in your phone. But, yes you need to reboot your phone after the transfer. After that, the song will appear in the Android Music Payer. Thank You, hope it helps. :-)

Go to settings --> Phone Storage --> SD card, Open the contents and see whether all the files you have tried to store in that have saved or you have misplaced it. Once you are sure then allow the Mobile to synchronize with the SD CARD properly. This will list out the songs properly once you give enough time.

If the songs are still not seen, then you have to paste the songs again, there is no need to update anything here. Just paste it Again. and access the files through mobile by accessing the SD CARD. once YOU DO THIS, IT WILL AUTOMATICALLY SYNC WITH music Application.

the media is added in the SD card.. but to show in Media library it has to be scanned for the changes in the files..
you can either try rebooting the phone..
or you can manually scan the SD card..
to scan the SD card, you need to unmount the SD card and mount it again.. do as follows..
Go to Settings >> Storage >> Unmount SD card..
then remove SD card and put it back in..
now it will refresh your music library for any changes..

    hey friend...

The problem you are saying is actually not a problem as it can happen with anyone or in anyone's phone ...
What the problem is that you have not refreshed your music player's songs list or what you say library...

Refreshing of music player library is needed when you have added a new song from pc to your phone or , via bluetooth to your phone or else you can say that when a song is added into your phone from any means then then there is a need to refresh your phone's music library ..
Also it is needed if you have deleted any song from your phone and hence you need to update your music library then you have refresh the list ...

So , just open your music player and go to options ..
There you will see the option as refresh library .. just refresh it and then everything will be alright for you..

    hope i helped..
    thanks
