    I can read your problem...
I think your mobile having auto brightness control facility.
So, it adjust your mobile brightness automatically according to phone timing or mobile shadow sensors.

If you want to fix your mobile brightness.
    then follow bellow mention steps...
    • open your mobile setting.
    • then open its display setting
    • then open its brightness setting.
    • And disable auto brightness mode.
    • And manually fix your brightness by negativing scroll bar.
    Thanks

Re: Wavering brightness of screen on Android HTC Evo

    hey friend

The reason for continuous varying of the brightness of your phone is the auto brightness feature which might be selected in your phone. Also it might be possible that there is any virus in the phone which is continuously varying the brightness of your display of phone..

Also try to change the brightness of your phone by following the steps given below and see for the change:

    - Firstly open the ''menu'' option from the home screen of your phone
    - From there go to the ''settings'' option and open it
    - In settings you will see the option saying ''display'' .. Just tap on it to open
    - After tapping on display option you will see another option of ''brightness''
    - From the brightness option you can now slide the bar to left or right to increase or decrease the brightness level as per your need
    - At last when adjustment is done press or tap on ''ok'' button and exit

If doing this doesn't remove the problem then you have to take your phone to the service centre and get it checked..

    thanks

Reason for varying the brightness level:-

    1. Your device settings in the auto brightness is enabled.

    Solution:-

For that you need to disable the auto brightness.

:: Go to the home screen page by pressing ""Menu"" button.

:: Now select the "settings" option from the screen.

:: After that select the "Display" option and then open it.

:: Once it opens, you have to open the display settings.

:: After than locate the brightness settings where you see the available
    option that is "Auto brightness"

:: So from that you can unchecked the box.

    :: Now restart the system.

Re: Wavering brightness of screen on Android HTC Evo

The screen brightness of this genre of phone might be set to auto brightness. While this facility is turned on, the brightness of the screen is adjusted on the basis of shadows and the external light. In other words the brightness would vary inversely proportional with the ambient light. If this is not comfortable with you, you could turn it off and set the screen brightness manually. On doing this you would be able to adjust the brightness to suit your eyes comfort. The auto brightness feature would increase your battery consumption also. If your auto brightness is already set off, you could have your phone verified by an expert.
