Re: Code 0x80244019 issue with Windows Defender Try this. First launch Internet Explorer. Now go to Tools menu. From the Tools menu, select Internet Options. Then click the Advanced tab which should be on the top. Now click 'Reset'. After the reset is done, click on reset again. Now close IE, launch it and then close it again. Now try Windows Defender update. When the update finishes, go to Tools menu in IE again and select Manage Add-ons. Now enable the add-ons you want to use, as they might have been disabled by the reset.
