No auto-populating of e-mail addresses after android 4.0 ICS update

I am using a Motorola Droid android device. I was able to figure out the e-mail addresses from the ‘to:’ field which makes me easier for sending messages to the recipient. But I recently updated the android device to the latest android 4.0 ICS operating system. Since then my android device is not auto-populating the e-mail addresses. Now please let me know how this problem can be resolved.

Re: No auto-populating of e-mail addresses after android 4.0 ICS update

    Hi,
In order for the E-mail application to auto populate the address bar you have to have the address already present in your contacts. So please make sure that you have all the E-mail address of the people to whom you are trying to mail are present in the Contacts application If that is not present then select the option as to synchronize the contact settings from the "Accounts & Sync" menu in the "Settings" applications If that is not helping the open the "Applications" option from the "Settings" menu and then delete the Cache and Data of the application and then reboot the phone this will help in restoring the application to the default settings and then problem will also be resolved.
    Hope this Helps.
