I am quite surprised to see that my newly bought android phone is not able to display the date and time in the home screen of the android phone. I did set the date and time and then finally tapped on the button denoted as ‘Save’. Still the issue is occurring. Why is it so? Is there any way to fix this issue?

You can easily fix this problem.Just you have to do one thing ,goto the home screen of your phone tap(click) anywhere in the middle of screen for a moment .
There you got a list of short cuts for adding to the home screen.
click on the widget option.
There you get short cut for application.
scroll the list to the last there you find a option of "time" click on it.
Now you can be able to see the date and time on the screen.

If you are having problem with the phone not being able to display the date and time of the device in the status bar then you have to open "Settings" menu from application drawer and then select the "Applications" menu there you have to force stop the clock application in the "Manage applications" menu and then select then reboot the phone once the phone is rebooted see that the problem is solved. If you are having problem displaying widget in the Home Screen then long press on any empty space of the screen and then select the necessary widget by selecting the option as to display the widget then tap on the widget so that the widget can be adjusted.

Its really simple . To display the time and date on your home screen you need to add widgets .
To do this,
1) Click and hold onto the blank space on your homescreen.
2) A popup will appear telling you to add widgets wallpapers and such stuffs.
3) Click on widgets
4) Select Clock
5) Then a clock will appear on your home screen.
You can also add varieties of clock. Check out PLay Store From there you can find hundreds of different types of clock.
