You have to get into the Account Settings page of yours at first. Then you need to hit on the Products tab on the page. Next you have to hit on the option labeled "Your products". After that you have to hit on the Edit link next to it. There you can select the option ‘Remove Gmail permanently’. Now you will be asked to confirm your decision once more. If you are sure about the decision, you can hit on the ‘ok’ button on the page.

    Hi,
In order to remove the G-mail ID that is being used in your phone you have to open the application drawer and then select the option as "Settings" under the settings menu you will be able to find an option as "Accounts" under the accounts menu you can find the Gmail account that is present in the device. Unless or until you are in any android version that is above 4 you can remove the ID and then add another ID if you are in 2.x.x then you have to factory reset the device and then only you will be able to remove the account from the device and the next time you Login you can add a new account.
    Hope this Helps.
