Is it possible to illuminate the capacitive buttons of Android based Samsung Epic 4G for longer period?

My Android based Samsung Epic 4G can illuminate the capacitive buttons like Home, Search, Back and Menu. But, I need to keep the buttons lit for a longer time. In what way can I accomplish this?

Find out the ‘Menu’ button available on the device and make a single press on it. This will bring up several options on the screen in the form of a list. Navigate through that list and tap over the ‘Settings’ option. You can then find ‘Sound and Display’ option on the screen. Hit that option for viewing the display settings. Go through those settings and tap the ‘Keyboard Timeout’ option. You can then adjust the time according to your need.
