You can set an MP3 files as the notification sound for your HTC android phone. For this you need to first connect the device to the computer as a USB storage device. Now you need to create a folder in the root folder name Notifications. Then you need to transfer the desired mp3 files into this folder. Once done, you can remove the phone from the computer. Then, you need to tap on Menu and click on Settings. There you will find Sound and then the option called Notification sound. There you need to select the desired mp3 settings and tap on save.
