Re: Is it possible to uninstall the apps which are by default installed in the android OS?

Yes you can uninstall those Apps which are Pre-Installed with your Mobile Device, For that you need to Root the Device. Rooting will enable you all the permission to clear off the Apps and other things which you dont need it in your Device.

Note: if you are not aware of rooting process, get a help from some one who is capable of doing the process for you.

After Rooting the device, You can reboot, Install apps like "Root Uninstaller" and uninstall all the pre installed apps.

    All the best.

Root the device and manually uninstall all the apps which are pre-installed in your Mobile device. Rooting can be done by different methods, before doing back up all the data and read well enough about your device.

Apps might Help to Uninstall Apps after Rooting:
    • Titanium Backup.
    • Root Uninstall.
    • Root Uninstaller.
    • Absolute System root tools.

Re: Is it possible to uninstall the apps which are by default installed in the android OS?

    Hello Friends,

Yes It is possible to get rid of default apps so called bloatware from your Android phone..One of the ways to get rid of bloatware on Android phones are to manually delete the unwanted apps, using a program like Android Mate which would require you to root your device and hence is not advisable. The problem with manually deleting apps is that users won't get OTA updates if they delete bloatware from phones.Still if you want to persist with the idea of getting rid of pre-installed apps Here are the steps you should follow to uninstall pre installed apps:-

1)Root your phone. You can check our forum to get details about it.

2)Download Android Terminal Emulator and install it.

    3)Run the Emulator.

4)Enter the following commands in Terminal:-
    $ su
    # mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblk3 /system
    # cd system/app

5)Now list the applications that has been installed using the command:-
    # ls
6)Enter the command as shown below:-
    # rm <app-name>

7)Let us assume you want to remove Calender, then enter the following command:-
    # rm Calender.apk
    # rm Calender.odex

8)Now in order to ensure that app has been removed use the list command again.
    # ls

    Hope it Helps!

    Thanks and visit again

Re: Is it possible to uninstall the apps which are by default installed in the android OS?

    hi friend,
as these apps come preinstalled you dont have enough permission to access their installation.
The only way to remove these third-party apps would be to root your Android device and receive the Super User status.
if you dont want to root your device then u can instal an android market app called Advanced Task Killer.
Advanced Task Killer enables users to “kill” any processes running on the Android smartphone and can also be set to auto-kill any application when the Android boots.
    thanks. hope this helps.

Re: Is it possible to uninstall the apps which are by default installed in the android OS?

Yes, you can uninstall pre installed apps in Android.

    You have two options :
Either root your Android phone & uninstall the apps.
Other one, you can hide/disable these apps.

The second method requires the installation of a third-party app called " Advanced Task Killer ", which can be downloaded from the Android market.
With Advanced Task Killer you can “kill/stop” any processes running on the Android smartphone.

After the applications being stopped, you will only see their icons on the drawer.
However if you need to reactivate application that you just “killed,” you can make changes in setting of Advanced Task Killer menu.

    For first option :

Complete uninstall of applications is only possible if phone can be rooted with the "Uninstaller" application.
Rooting means your Android smartphone gives you Super-User access to the Android OS allowing you to make changes you normally wouldn't have permission to perform.

However there are certain risks associated with rooting, you phone can become useless meanwhile, so try to avoid this method.
Here is an video tutorial explaining uninstalling :->

Though it is never recommended to uninstall these apps as it will affect totally to your entire handset application
But you can do it and it is the only way to remove these third-party apps would be to root your Android device. But you can have a try from Settings inside menu Applications and Manage application and uninstall it.Sometimes it uninstalls the application but not most of the time
So rooting is the only way

Re: Is it possible to uninstall the apps which are by default installed in the android OS?

You can remove System apps if you have Super User rights. To obtain Super User Rights you need to ROOT your phone. After you root your phone you can modify any kind of data related to the phone.

Try this app for a issue free Uninstaller---> Root Uninstaller--> link. The app removes System apps very easily ie without much work on Terminal.

Be careful, do not remove Android Base apps, if you remove certain app the device may malfunction...

The only way to uninstall your default apps is by rooting your phone. After rooting your phone search for root uninstall in android market.

For rooting you will need some knowledge about it else you will end up damaging your phone plus you will loose your warrenty so be carefull and backup your data before you proceed.

Re: Is it possible to uninstall the apps which are by default installed in the android OS?

    hey friend ..

First of all i would like to tell you that yes , you can uninstall the pre-installed apps from your phone..
But you cant do this with the normal uninstall process like all other apps you download ..
You can uninstall the default apps but only after rooting your device..

Though rooting can help you in uninstalling the default apps , you will lose your warranty of phone if you try to root it ..
Rooting your phone is not allowed by the manufacturer and hence when your root your phone and it gets damaged in between the process then there is no responsibility of the company persons and hence you will also not get any type of warranty related help for your phone ....

If the rooting procedure is provided by the company persons for your phone itself then you can root it without any issue but if the rooting procedure is not provided by them , then will be always treated as untrusted procedure..

So , look out for this and keep this in mind before rooting your device..

    thanks

No you can't uninstall your preinstall application from your device.
You are only uninstall those apps which are not preinstalled in your device.
For this go to settings from main menu then go to application option.
And then go to manage application option then you can uninstall third party applications.

No.The default apps installed in your device actually comes from the operating system installed in your device. When you upgrade or downgrade your device to another OS,you can see some new apps may get installed or some old apps may be lost or some times no change. So it actually depends on the OS that you are using.
    Thankyou
