    Hello friend,

This error was experienced by many Droid users.
This error is said to occur because of Google search update in many Droid's.
Simply uninstall those updates to stop this problem.

Or else use Titanium Backup (requires root) to uninstall Google search (yes this can be done) and then re-install it.
    This might solve the problem.

    If nothing else works,
Perform a Factory Data reset, but before that backup all your important data/apps.
To do so, follow these steps:
    - Go to your home-screen and press menu button.
    - Press settings.
    - Go to privacy.
    - Press 'Factory data reset'.
    - Press reset phone.
    - It will ask your personal detail. Fill them.
    - Your phone will reboot when done.

    Hope it helps,
    Regards!

Cool Re: The process com.motorola.service.main has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again Problem with Motorola Droid Mobile?

Motoblur is the problem. Here's how I stop the com.motorola.service.main issue.

Toggle the Blur email with a power cycle meaning change Blur email, power cycle, change again back to original Blur.

Go to "Accounts", change your Blur account to something different that your current Blur email.
Toggle the power on your phone i.e. shut it off, turn it back on.
Now wait till you get the Blur account not verified icon indication subsequent to your phone getting network
    contact.
Now go back into Blur account and change the account back to its original email setup.

Verify errant service has stopped by opening your email.

Well, the problem is back but it didn't occur right away. Its appear to happen when I open my original original Blur email...
I'll replace my Blur account with a new email, confirm the email account then report back my finding.

Does not solve the issue. I am facing the same problem in my new Defy Plus. In fact, I can't check email at all on the phone. The moment I open the email app, this message pops up and the only option is to "force quit".

I am getting this same error message, but I do not (that I know of) have a Motoblur account, I do not even know what that is. I have tried uninstalling google but have not wiped my phone clean...yet. Reading other threads that does not seem to work anyway. Any ideas? Please?

This seems to be some kind of manufacturer's defect (bug)..
If you already have the Blur account.. delete it.. restart the phone and set it up again..
if you don't have the blur account.. then its time to set it up..
Setting up the blur account seems to resolve this problem..

This does not work...my Motorola phone won't let me change accounts!!! It just says an error occurred....so how are you switching the blur accounts as mine will not let me.

Motorola live chat helped fix. I did a forced reboot (hold power & down-volume for about 10 secs; when phone shuts off, release the buttons and the phone powers up automatically). Once it came back up, all was good (at least for now).
