    Proximity Sensor responds very slowly on Samsung Galaxy Ace

    When I try to make a call on my Samsung Galaxy Ace, I found that the Proximity Sensor is responding very slowly on my phone. I need to hold the phone very close to my ear to hear the call due to this issue. How can I speed up the sensor?

    This is a bug on certain Ginger bread 2.3 versions of galaxy ace. Its better to update the mobile to the latest version of Android Ginger Bread 2.3.6. To do this go to Settings--> About phone--> Software Update.

    Hope this solves the issue.

    The proximity sensor and the call volume is not even related in any way. The proximity sensor works in order to keep the screen turned off when you have the ear near the top speaker for you hear properly and that your skin should not touch the screen causing problem while in a call. To make the proximity sensor work properly delete the cache in the phone as it might lead to slowing down the phone which in turn causes a lag in the proximity sensor. You can clear the cache by using a application by name 1Tap cleaner from the Play store.

    Dear,

    Proximity sensor need a time around 1 Sec for rersponce.Its normal time.
    If your device responce is very slow you need to contact a Authorised service Centre of Samsung.
    They will check your Hardware and Solve it .

    hi friend,

    if your mobiles proximaty sensors are working very slowly
    then try to update the mobile software of your mobile to the latest
    version and then try to check it .....

    if still the problem is not fixed then go to your neareset
