you don't get the full 512mb ram as some of it is used by the operating system to function smoothly.
hey
No it does not indicate any problem. Every phone which has 512 ram shows 390 ram. Even my galaxy s2 which has 1 gb of ram shows 831 ram. Its normal but i dont know what the rest are used for may be used for rom or something.
The best browser right now is good chrome but it works only in ICS. You can try opera mini ,mozilla and dolphin. Keep the one you like and delete the rest.
Thanks
Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos has 390 MB of RAM.You might have seen on internet or heard some where. What you are seeing in your mobile system is 100% true.
You should be happy what you have.If in your phone's Task Manager is showing 390 MB then true. You can search about the RAM in Samsung store. Both will provide you good internet browse. If RAM has enough space then you can browse internet quickly.
No there is no problem the Ram devided in to main
And cached ram so 390mb is correct one like my Sony
ERICSSON st15i that can't make any problem
Hello friend,
Don't worry, its normal. Android devices usually show lesser RAM than they actually have.
Android is a pretty heavy OS. So a percentage of RAM is used by the OS for its functioning. You can say that it is permanently reserved for that purpose.
The remaining amount of RAM that is not used by the OS is free and only that much is shown as the total RAM. This can be used by apps or other services.
Now coming to the browser part.
There are many good Android browsers. Each one has its owns pros and cons.
But here are some browsers which are considered to be the best.
- Dolphin HD Browser.
- Opera Mobile Browser.
- Skyfire Web Browser.
- Maxthon Web Browser.
- Firefox. (If you use it on PC)
Google Chrome was also an option, but it requires ICS or above.
Regards!
Well, there is actually no problem with your phone. Because, the rest of the memory means the remaining 122MB will be leave for the operating system or software that is presented in the device. So there is no problem.
Now, if it is my turn to suggest the best browser, then I say better use opera mini and uc web browser as well. Opera mini gives you faster browsing experience and uc web browser supports high speed downloading. I hope you understand. Thank you:-)
Hey Buddy..
Whatever the RAM Is showing in your device is 100 % true and it doesn't indicate any problem.
You can see this in your Memory cards and USB Drive as well that when you check their properties, it not always show full memory but it took some for use.
Similarly, you have 512 MB RAM and you are using 390 which is not a technical error.
It is just for the smooth functioning of the device.
Thank You...![]()

Google Chrome was also an option (4.0 or Higher)
