Re: Samsung Galaxy Y regularly Corrupting the SD Card

    Hi,
The problem might be with the SD card try to format the card and then once it is completely formatted insert it into the phone and then try to open the SD card it should be empty then by the use of the Data cable connect the phone to a PC and then transfer the required stuffs. If that doesn't seem to work then the problem might be with your phone so it is better to take the phone to a Authorized service center of Samsung.
    Hope this Helps.

    Hello,

It may be affected by viruses. Generally when you connect your phone with PC, or browse some specific site in internet virus attacks. Sometimes they corrupt all the data in SD card.

I have some suggestions for you
    1. Keep an antivirus like Dr. Web or Avast in your phone.
    2. Use the microSD cards of Samsung or Transcend ( Sandisk cards get more affected)

[ NB : When you want to remove the SD card, please unmount the SD card before removing it.
    (Settings>Storage>Unmount SD Card) ]

    [If nothing works
Keep a back up of all your data(contacts, messages, songs, videos, photos, apps) and do a factory reset.]

I think your phone may be affected by the virus as you are saying that it is corrupting the memory cards. So make steps to the android store and download any powerful anti-virus like "net beans or avast" and scan all the memory locations on your device and try inserting the card now. If still the problem continues then reset the device by going to menu options and then privacy and go for "factory reset" and make it happen. May be, the problem will be solved.

    hello,

there might be a problem with the sd card.
insert a different sd card to check status of the error.

if the problem is still there ,
    reboot your phone once
then install the firmware or update your software.

if non of the above work, there can be a hardware defect, it is advisable to contact the authorized service center near by you.
