Samsung Wave not recognised by Kies app

I have been trying to find an update for the Samsung wave to Android Firmware 2.2. I downloaded this program called KIES and I have the latest version. But there is a problem that my device isn't recognized? Can I fix this? Is there any other way to update my firmware?

hi, you are saying that your device is not being identify by the kies app of latest version. It may be of two problems either the drivers are not properly installed in your system or the data cable you are using is faulty. Make sure that whether the drivers are installed properly or not. If there is no problem with them, then check your data cable connecting it to any other phone. Also check your mobile port by connecting any other data cable to it. Try these steps and find where the fault is and try to avoid it by making any preventive operations. Then you are done.

Re: Samsung Wave not recognised by Kies app

    Hi,
Samsung Wave phones are "Bada OS" phones. That is they are Custom OS built by Samsung in order to run them in their phones. The phone being able to Run android 2.2 is such that you might have installed a custom ROM from any developers website and such that the developer might not have provided the required details in the ROM for the phone to connect to "Kies" so if you having problems then contact the developer who developed the ROM. Otherwise move back to the original OS that is Bada OS for your phone and then select the option as to Connect the phone to Kies and see if it is getting connected if that is not working then uninstall Kies completely and then again install it from scratch then see if that is working. Also in Android make sure USB Debugging is enabled under the option as "Development" in "Settings".
    Hope this Helps.
