Screen of android powered Samsung Galaxy Premier Turns off if kept idle for 15 sec

If I kept my Samsung Galaxy Premier idle for a very less time, say just 15 sec or so, the screen times out and turns off. This is interrupting most of the actions on my handset like messaging. What can I do with this?

You can set a more convenient screen timeout so as to get over this issue. For that first you can get into the settings section of your handset. From the settings screen, you can go for the ‘display’ option. There you need to tap on the option labeled ‘screen timeout’. On the next page, you can see a selection option for screen time outs like 30 sec. 60 sec, 90 sec etc. you can choose the most appropriate screen time out from among the options given. Once you have chosen the timing, you can save in the changes applied on the settings.

Re: Screen of android powered Samsung Galaxy Premier Turns off if kept idle for 15 sec

I am having the same issue. I am pretty versed in using an android os. It doesn't matter how long I set my timeout for or if I use a 3rd party app to try to correct and override the factory default, the phone will timeout in 15 seconds. Any suggestions?

Also, when I'm on a call, in order to hang up, I have to turn the screen back on in order to hangup. This is annoying. In previous phones, once the phone was removed from my ear, the screen would automatically turn back on. Any Suggestions or 3rd party apps that would rectify this?

Connection Time - Out, using my wi-fi (don't know about straight mobile connection), my connection will "time-out" does anyone know what's causing this?
Thanks in advance for your help!
