Setting up defaults IPs on Android mobile phones

I have had to encounter many bugs while trying to access the Wi-Fi on my Android phone. I would like to have a static IP set up on my mobile. How can I get this done?

Re: Setting up defaults IPs on Android mobile phones

You can have this done by first accessing the settings page on your mobile phone. After this is done, select the wireless options from it and then Wi-Fi options. After getting this done, select the menu button from the home screen of the phone and select advanced options from it. From this option you’ll be able to access the option ‘setup default IP addresses’. The next few steps could be used only for specific Wi-Fi connections. For India, enter the IP address that you want to set up and set the subnet mask as 255.255.255.0. You will be asked to set up the ‘ipconfig’ setup from a Windows PC and then following the subsequent steps.
