Setting up hotmail account on Android phone as push e-mail through Exchange ActiveSync

Even though I have set up hotmail account on my Android phone, it has the limitations of POP3 account. I need instant notifications from the account like in the case of push e-mail. What steps should I take to accomplish via Exchange ActiveSync?

At first, get into ‘Email’ application and press the ‘Menu’ button. Then, choose ‘Accounts’ option and hit the ‘Menu’ button again for selecting ‘Add account’ option. Enter the hotmail address and password afterwards and hit the ‘Manual setup’ button before pressing the ‘Exchange’ button. You can then find Domain\Username textbox into which type in a backslash followed by the hotmail address. Then, you need to type account’s password into ‘Password’ textbox and m.hotmail.com into ‘Server’ textbox. Select the check boxes appears next to ‘Use secure connection (SSL)’ and ‘Accept all SSL certificates’ options. Press the ‘Next’ button afterwards and tap the ‘Email checking frequency’ dropdown list. Choose ‘Automatic (Push)’ from that list and set other options according to your need. Hit the ‘Next’ button and type in a name for the account. Once you finish typing the name, press the ‘Done’ button.
