Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S not registering USB connection

I have a Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S. My phone would sometimes see the charging power cable as a USB computer device, and I would just exit the 'kies' screen. Now (about a week later) I am trying to do a firmware update to see if I can fix this as well as the lagging problems, and now it won't see the USB connection as a USB connection, it just keeps thinking it is just charging. Please solve this bug.

Re: Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S not registering USB connection

    hey friend ..

First of all i would like to tell you that that KIES software is used only for Samsung mobile phones and not for Sony Ericsson mobiles ..
This is the only reason why you are getting the charging only on your Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S phone..

Also i would like to tell you that the software which is used for connecting your Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S phone with the PC/laptop is known as PC companion ..

If you doesnt really have installed in your PC then just download the software from the below link..

    thanks

    Hi Friend,

There is due to following reasons,
the data cable or the usb cable you are using is faulty
    Sync tool is our dated,
usb port of pc is faulty or damaged
connection Drivers kies not working perfectly

First of all Update the USB drivers as well as Kies software.

Follow this steps to do this.
    >> Right click on Computer
    >> Click to Manage
    >> Click on Device Manager
    >> right click on USB driver
    >> click on Uppate

also update the kies drivers to open that
go to settings and click on Update.

is issue persists Remove the drivers
and download the latest version of that,
    and install it.

    I hope you will understood.

    All the Best.
