Sony Xperia Arc S camera displays ‘low memory’ while taking pictures

Two days ago, I used camera in my Sony Xperia Arc S to 2MP and took six pictures without any problems. When I try to take another picture, the camera started to display ‘low memory’ on the screen even thought there is much memory left in the SD card. What could be the reason for that?

    Hello

The obvious reason is the camera is set to save the pics on your phone memory and not sd card.

Open the camera-->>go to settings-->>choose the default saving option as sd card not phone memory.

Then try clicking pics you wont face any problem

    Thank you

    hey friend....

I would like to tell you that this is not the problem with your phone nor with the SD card but your phone is showing low memory just because of the low internal space of your phone ...
Or you can say that your phone's internal memory is full..
Also i might be possible that there are many applications or operations going on simultaneously which cause this memory issue

The problem also occurs if you have not set the camera's default memory to SD card as when you buy a new phone the default memory for almost every app or feature like camera , messages , contacts , videos , etc is set to phone's internal memory and hence you are not able to use camera easily as it shows low memory error ..

To solve this issue first of all set the camera's memory to SD card and then just free up your phone's internal memory...
If problem persists then take your phone to the service centre as it is in the warranty and no charge will be taken to repair it or get it checked ...

    thanks

    Hi

This is a very common and simple problem that many people face unknowingly.. That is when you are clicking pictures so by default its getting stored in your phone memory which is very very small as compared to the size of the pics that you are taking because of the HD Camera..
So the process is really simple..

Go to Camera -> Settings -> Choose the default memory as SD Card and Un check the Phone Memory! Thats it! From now all the images that you take would be saved on the SD card and not on your phone memory..

Preferably restart your phone once again and then there won't be any problem in taking more pics..

    Hope this helps

I think the problem occurs due to the following reason
the photos are getting saved in phone memory instead of SD card
the following step will solve the problem
    go to camera
    select settings
select SD card as default memory
    uncheck phone memory
thats all,if still facing problem, then you need to scan for virus by using standard anti virus to clean them, also try to change the SD card if necessary
